Ngorongoro Crater Lodge
& Beyond
Begin your morning with a drive through Manyara, meandering through an expanse of verdant groundwater forest. After lunch, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater.
Views from the lodges are spectacular. From the lilac-streaked sunrise, to an indigo star-studded night, the Ngorongoro Crater (approximately 3 million years old) delivers a theatre of vistas, little changed since the dawn of time.
The Crater, which opens into the vast Serengeti, is sometimes called the eighth wonder of the world. The vast caldera floor of what was once an active volcano is a magnificent setting for the abundant wildlife which is viewed against an ethereal blue-green backdrop.
