Bwindi National Park for the Gorillas

Bwindi National Park is an area of great biodiversity with over 200 species of birds, butterflies and trees. It is the elusive Mountain Gorilla that is the park's main star - and with half of the world's population living here, Bwindi offers adventurous travellers the once-in-a-lifetime chance of seeing these primates.

Murchison Falls

The dramatic Murchison Falls are an awe-inspiring sight. This is where the Nile, the world's longest river, explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into the frothing pool 122 metres below. The falls are in Kabalega National Park, which is famous for its crocodiles and hippopotami.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

This fertile equatorial area is especially scenic, with two lakes connected by a channel overlooked by a high peninsula. You will also find volcanic craters, grassy plains and tropical forest. As a result it has one of the highest biodiversity ratings in the world.
